Announcements for June 6th, 2009.

This Week

  • SUNDAY SERVICE: We are starting up our on-campus services this Sunday, June 7th, in Shaffer 303. Service Time has changed for the summer: 1pm. This will allow us to join our other churches for Softball on Sunday afternoons.

  • SOFTBALL! Our annual Grace Life Softball tradition is continuing this summer! We start Sunday, June 7th, 3pm, Summit Park Elementary School, 6920 Diana Rd., Baltimore, MD. All skill-levels are welcome - or just come to cheer/heckle! Sign up this Sunday to get involved, or contact Kenny O'Young.
  • Discipleship will be starting within the week. Dship groups, led by volunteers or staff, meet weekly, and are a great opportunity to grow deeper with God in a more intensive setting. Sign-up here!. The levels offered and numbers of classes will depend on the volume of responses.
  • Here this summer? Let us know what you're doing. That way, if we play weekly softball, offer discipleship, plan trips, or ANYTHING, we can have idea of who is around - and we'll know to let YOU know! :)

Welcome to Stepping Stone Ministry!

Grace Life Stepping Stone is a college campus ministry currently located at the Homewood Campus of Johns Hopkins. We are committed to bringing the message of the hope of Jesus Christ to the Johns Hopkins campus and to the surrounding communities.

We firmly believe that God is the only one that can change people's lives and empower changed people to transform communities through the Holy Spirit. Thus, we seek to be a transforming and relevant community of students who, in learning and applying God's Word to our lives, impact the world around us for Jesus Christ by engaging in our culture and befriending those around us.

Our mission is to provide a place where people can encounter God, regardless of where they are in their spiritual journeys. Together, as a community, we invite those around us to join us in encountering, experiencing, and engaging God in ways that are real and relevant.

Grace Life Stepping Stone is where people come to:

  • Encounter God for the first time, learning that they matter to God.
  • Experience God afresh, remembering that God desires to be known deeply.
  • Engage God in everyday life, knowing that God is interested in being involved in people's lives through an ongoing relationship.

Grace Life Stepping Stone has been on the Johns Hopkins campus since 1998. We started with a group of 8 students who wanted to see more people on this campus come to experience and know God personally. We've grown quite a bit since then. But we are still committed to seeing more people on the Hopkins campus come to know God and grow in Him.
